ProPresenter can easily double or triple the other two options in price. Advanced modules add hundreds, if not thousands when including the hardware, to the bill. Bible versions can only be purchased for a single computer, so a church could end up purchasing the same version multiple times for all the church computers. Since ProPresenter requires a more powerful computer than either Proclaim or EasyWorship, many churches end up spending a couple thousand on a MacBook Pro.
Proclaim can be quite inexpensive for a small church. Not only does the church not have to pay the same price for the software as a large church, but the church can even avoid the initial major expenditure by paying on a monthly basis. The church can cancel at any time if it wants to switch to a different software option. An urban church without internet, especially a portable one, can easily turn a smartphone into a Wi-Fi hotspot before and during the service.
Obviously using the phone as a hotspot for an extended period of time can both eat away at its battery life and its data plan. With Proclaim, some churches may be able to avoid purchasing an extra computer for the sound booth because everything is stored in the cloud.
EasyWorship, after the initial purchase price, can be quite inexpensive. Unlike Proclaim, no monthly fees are involved. Unlike ProPresenter, though, EasyWorship can be effectively run by inexpensive computers.
ProPresenter is the toughest software option for a church with a meager technology budget to afford. Since ProPresenter versions have historically been very stable and upgrades come regularly, the church could cut its upgrade costs in half by upgrading every other version instead of every version.
Adding Bible passages from the internet or another program like Logos is not much slower than adding them via the built-in Bibles, so the church could avoid purchasing ProPresenter Bibles on each computer. Whatever option you should choose, motion and still backgrounds can be a quite expensive add-on. The few free background that do would have to be used over and over.
If a church does not want to buy a subscription every year, it can buy a subscription one year and download the backgrounds it would like to use in future years. The church may want to subscribe again in two to four years to take advantage of the new backgrounds, but it would not need to pay the subscription fee every single year. Ultimately, all three of these software options appeal to different styles and sizes of churches.
The church rarely uses videos in its services, and has no need for more than one screen. Internet access is expensive and unreliable in the middle of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, so Proclaim probably would not greatly enhance service preparation. In my opinion, Proclaim would be quite useful to a church which does not have a form of worship software or seriously outdated software. Church plants, especially those which are portable, should strongly consider Proclaim. In the right situation, Proclaim could save numerous technological headaches and also save plenty of money in the purchase of church computers.
We employ video background loops along with countdown videos and sermon introduction videos. Proclaim and EasyWorship would struggle to handle that much video content. I would like to eventually switch from standard resolution to high definition which would further challenge the video players in Proclaim and EasyWorship. This is one of the more basic tools as it only supports Bible verses instead of songs too.

Create a searchable list of favorite verses for quicker access. If you want more control over your slides and want to go beyond scripture, BibleShow might not be for you. However, you can present more than just lyrics.
You can also add text passages, such as scripture or important takeaways. This makes it easy to ensure your members not only hear, but see the most important parts of your sermon. One immensely useful feature is live editing. Even if your presentation is being shown, you can edit on the fly.
See a typo? Edit in seconds. This is ideal if your church is hosting a live event and you want to add impromptu notes during the event. Or, if you need to change lyrics quickly. You can even create playlists for autoplay presentations.
FreeWorship has a free and premium version. For simple church presentations, the free version is really all you need. Add song lyrics, videos, images and Bible verses. Create custom slide sets for your church events. The premium version does make it easier to add songs and verses thanks to SongSelect integration and an advanced Bible search function. This can help save valuable time. Praisenter is one of the more straightforward church presentation tools.
